I'm and Dani made a server named Sky Cities

For the Sky Cities server's most important thing is the next:

-allow the players to make big floating cities what we protect

-make Banks,trading islands where the players can deal without danger

-4 fun, make lot of events like chest event or stanta's treasure,big carnevals, nation fights for money

-non griefed islands near the spawn

-friendly players, no trolls/griefers

I think this is a big mission for the staff(+16) becouse Dani and I'm only in the staff who do something...
there is some pictures how the spawnship, named "Autumn" looks like

That's actually quite nice-looking. So to clarify, the server is for bases mainly? Or usual gameplay plus cities?

We want to make lot of cities (the players can make if they want, we protect it if he built for everybody(not defended with turrets))
and we want to teach to the players that they dont have to fight, becouse they can trade and protect things in banks(every week +4-5% interest)
and i want to make lot of events becouse this server is for fun!(the fight is allowed its not problem but the "loot everything what is not protected" is a shit idea)

i hope i ansvered to your question
(banks are lootable! but big loot=big risk)

The 0.138 update is out now but the server is old...
1-2 hours and we update it!

if enough players online we make a big event!

Nice spawn ship by the way. Also what about materials? Would they all have to be gathered as per usual?

no because the hole spawn made of indestructium(admins can add, non breakable)
but i want to make another cities whit the material what u can find on that specified island/biome:

-copper spheres where the dockyard made of ancient brick and copper struts and sh*t glass
-ice stars (there i dont want to use ice because its too dangerous)
-cliffs where the iron and the wood planks are the main materials
-mining platforms where iron and titanium and the copper struts the main

yep thats all my project for now(nov 18 - march ..)

I'm not sure if I understand. You're saying that players will be given unlimited resources to build cities with... But only materials located in their specific biome?

no, they get the materials (if they build for everybody) but the special biomes have special materials
if u see a copper sphere where the ships land on copper struts and not on indestrictium(because an other material can looks ugly)
but if u want, u can use all of the material but the harmony is very important
(i think u dont wanna land on a mining platform what have ice landing pad/dock)

(u are admin somewhere? we are looking for admins :D)

Haha, once I understood enough I was going to ask anyway. I have my own sandbox server and I helped pioneer the first event (and yesterday's map) along with EliteCow. I may be on sparingly however (5pm onward, CST). So, how can I be of service?
