[0.975] Capital Gates generation error - Index out of range

Postby Haskins » Sun Oct 25, 2015 3:21 am

When running a dedicated server, it gets this error after entering the amount of Capital Gates to be created:
Code: Select all
Error:
Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: index

This is for a world with 50 sectors and I had entered 4 for the number of Capital Systems.

Crash Log repeats the above error message plus includes:
Code: Select all
Stack Trace:
   at GameServer.World.Systems.BiomeManager..ctor(ServerInstance server)
   at GameServer.ServerInstance..ctor(String[] args)
   at DedicatedServer.Program.Main(String[] args)

The world starts up fine if Capital Gate generation is skipped.

This is on my bug list currently, it happens when there isn't a great place for the server to decide where to place a Cap gate on the map(specifically worse on very small maps with quite a few caps but can just happen due to random nature of placement). Though I haven't got around to investigating over other things, it is on my to do list. Thanks for the report.

Thanks for the response.
Tried it with just 1 Capital Gate for the small 50 system world and that worked.
